Expecting Mamas: Hospital Survival Kit

For my sister-in law's baby shower I wanted to make her a Hospital Survival Kit without spending a lot of money...here is what I came up with: (The most expensive thing I bought was the $6 bucket @Michaels without coupon).

So I scoured my bathroom and pantry to find unused items I already had to add to the kit.

Sleep Sheets sleep aid (free with instant rebate from Walgreens) for DAD, NOT MOM
Loofa (in a shower gift pack I bought after Christmas)
Revlon nail file (used coupon got it for a few cents)
Hand sanitizer ($1)
Secret deodorant (used coupon almost free)
Free samples Treseme shampoo/conditioner)
Free samples Body soap
Mouthwash (used coupon almost free)
Disposable razor (from value pack)
Chapstick
Body lotion
Hair ties/head band (from value pack)
Free sample face wash
Gum ($1)
Granola bars/snacks (from my pantry)
Victoria's Secret beach bag (free with earlier purchase I made, I have tons of bags, so I kept it in the package for a gift) **Any bag will work: gift bag, reusable gift bag, beach bag from discount store, etc.***
Gift bucket ($6 from Michaels, cheaper if you use their popular 40% off coupon or find them on sale) ****This is the most expensive thing I bought*****

I also added some other bigger items that would not fit inside the bucket. I had some breastfeeding pads, some feminine pads, and stool softener (not very glamorous but most needed!)

DIY: Calming Glitter Jar

Calming Bottle Instagram Post I saw a great idea on Pinterest a while ago about calming glitter jars being used in the classroom. I have not used it in the classroom yet, but here's what I'm thinking... Students who are upset (not violently) can go to an area of the classroom away from the other students. Medieval Times and Pirates Dinner Adventure Review

So we live about an hour south of some fun, family places. We have wanted to check out Medieval Times (MT) for a while now. Our friend called us up with a deal/promotion they were having. So we gave MT a call and reserved our dinner. (We visited in 2015, Buena Park, Ca) Medieval Times 2015 When you arrive, you will want to get there early mainly for parking purposes. The seats have been assigned, so it doesn't make a difference if you were the first in line. The parking is pretty limited, but I was glad to see the location was close to the freeway (also not far from Knott's Berry Farm). You are given a paper crown with a color on it. That is the team you are rooting, screaming, shouting for. We were team black and white. My daughter was still chanting "black and white!!!" days later.
