Medieval Times and Pirates Dinner Adventure Review

So we live about an hour south of some fun, family places. We have wanted to check out Medieval Times (MT) for a while now. Our friend called us up with a deal/promotion they were having. So we gave MT a call and reserved our dinner. (We visited in 2015, Buena Park, Ca) Medieval Times 2015 When you arrive, you will want to get there early mainly for parking purposes. The seats have been assigned, so it doesn't make a difference if you were the first in line. The parking is pretty limited, but I was glad to see the location was close to the freeway (also not far from Knott's Berry Farm). You are given a paper crown with a color on it. That is the team you are rooting, screaming, shouting for. We were team black and white. My daughter was still chanting "black and white!!!" days later. Before the show, you can check out some cool stuff at the gift shop, visit the bar, and my favorite part...see the horses. They are in stables and you can check them out (before

Teachers & Stay-at-Home Moms (Make Extra $$ This Summer)

As a substitute teacher, I do not get paid during the summer months and I haven't found any luck with tutoring over the summer either. I only work part-time on my husband's days off (bummer for him). So I began researching a few months before summer arrives to plan ahead and see what's out there for moms or subs. I don't want to go anywhere; I am looking for a telecommute job or online job where I can work on my own time while my baby is napping. So here is what I found: 1.  Work at Home Job Listings This is a great database website that takes you to other websites that are hiring for at home jobs. You can search your area (mine came up with zero). Or you can scroll down and browse a list of newly added jobs. Some examples of jobs are bloggers, editors, telemarketer, writers, tech. support, developer, and even an Android App. reviewer. 2.  Mystery Shopping Provider This might be a fun way to earn money if your a stay at home mom who doesn't necessarily like

DIY: Calming Glitter Jar

Calming Bottle Instagram Post I saw a great idea on Pinterest a while ago about calming glitter jars being used in the classroom. I have not used it in the classroom yet, but here's what I'm thinking... Students who are upset (not violently) can go to an area of the classroom away from the other students. The area can have a stuffed animal, journal, timer, stress ball, and or the calming jar. I looked around my house for a jar or container that had a flat top so it could be turned over and low and behold I found the Starbucks iced coffee bottle. Here is what I used and did: Need: A sturdy bottle with a flat top bottle of glitter glue (color of your choice) I had a bottle of black glitter glue loose glitter (color of your choice) I had pink rubbing alcohol (for sticky bottle label removal) hot water decorative tape super glue Steps: 1. First I removed the labels from the jar and soaked it in a hot water/rubbing alcohol bath, after it was soaking about an hour o

Be healthy, Be happy!

As moms we tend to think we are Superwoman and can do it all! But don't forget you need some time for yourself. Eating healthy is difficult when your toddler didn't finish their mac n' cheese and you don't want to "just throw it away". So I have been trying to be healthy and put myself first, because if I get sick or don't have energy it effects everyone! So I started daily walks with Sydney and replacing one meal a day with a "Green smoothie" ( see pinterest board for recipes ). I need some music to motivate me when I am walking/running/dancing so here is my list.  iTunes no longer has public music lists. Below are the names of the songs and artist. I did't have the time to type all the songs, so I just took a screenshot of my iTunes playlist. When I get time I will type the whole list :)
